ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Program press brake by adjusting up and down stroke and back stops.
  • Set up press brake machine for operation including setting stops on machine beds, changing dies, and adjusting components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes.
  • Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal.
  • Examine completed workpieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
  • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
  • Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives by company.
    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Able to lift, carry and/or relocate parts and equipment up to 55 pounds.
  • May be required to stand up to eight hours per day.
  • May be required to drive company trucks and forklifts.
    KNOWLEDGE:
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
